“Back to the Roots” – Traditional Spirituality and Medicine from the Andes
Sofia, Bulgaria – 16, 17 & 18 May 2025
In May 2025, Shamanic Art had the honor of hosting “Back to the Roots”, a three-day immersive experience with Vilma Pinedo, a respected Native Peruvian medicine woman, and Francisco Victoria, cultural interpreter and bridge between worlds.
This transformative workshop brought together participants from across Bulgaria to explore the ancient Andean ways of healing, reciprocity, and reconnection. Rooted in the belief that each of us carries a spiritual seed (Ruru) and root (Saphi), the workshop invited all to nourish these inner aspects through ritual, nature, and community.
What participants experienced:
Traditional Andean Offering Ceremony: Honoring the land and spirits through Ayni—the sacred reciprocity that balances life.
Teachings on Ruru and Saphi: Deep dives into the spiritual seed and root within us, and how to strengthen them.
Kallpanchay Practices: Revitalizing the body’s energy through ancient techniques.
Water Rituals: Cleansing and connecting with the sacred spirit of water, fostering renewal and harmony.
Field Day in Nature: A ceremonial tribute to the ancestors of Bulgarian lands, uniting Andean wisdom with local spirit.
Sacred Leaf Ceremony: Guided by rhythm, prayer, and the energy of sacred leaves.
Support Circle: A held space for reflection, integration, and shared awakening.
This event was more than a workshop—it was a homecoming. A return to the sacred. A step back to the roots.
Stay tuned for upcoming ceremonies and retreats that continue to bridge cultures, heal hearts, and awaken the spirit.
